Singapore, January 14, 2026 — Cosmo, a global leader in functional textiles, composites, and advanced materials for the footwear and apparel industry, today announced a planned leadership transition. After six years at the helm, Chief Executive Officer Josh VanDernoot will retire, effective December 31, 2025. The Board of Directors has appointed Mark Griffie as his successor, with his tenure as CEO commencing on January 1, 2026. Griffie will be based in Singapore.

VanDernoot will remain on Cosmo’s Board of Directors and serve as an advisor to ensure a smooth leadership handover.

Mark Griffie joined Cosmo in 2024 and has worked closely with the executive team to drive growth, sustainable innovation, and operational excellence. Prior to Cosmo, he spent 20 years at Nike, most recently as Senior Vice President of Materials Supply Chain, where he oversaw global footwear and apparel material sourcing with an annual spend exceeding $8 billion.

Griffie brings extensive experience across Asia, having held key roles in product development and sourcing—including assignments in China (2006–2008) and Singapore (2016–2020). His deep brand insights, expansive industry network, and track record of large-scale execution position him to accelerate Cosmo’s strategic momentum.
